The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet's very life force as mako energy. In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra's elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him.

While we can hardly blame Boris Johnson for such short-termism; we can definitely blame the faceless alien invaders who’ve left us battling for resources in a post-apocalyptic wasteland.

However, they’ve now gone, leaving us to pick up the pieces across inhospitable and radioactive badlands. In the meantime, humanity has (it seems) consulted Jeremy Clarkson; and chosen to institute a murderous new order of vehicular society. One that might just survive this toxic and hostile environment. Powerful, atmospheric, electromagnetic waves prevent most electronics from functioning; so armoured combat vehicles are the only way to get to the shops — but there are no shops. A total dearth of retail leaves us fighting over increasingly scarce resources. A death-dealing team of war chariots seems the only reasonable way to keep busy and get around.

DoomCar is a strategy RPG wrapped in a distinctly dystopian world but this doesn't mean you can’t have lots of fun simply surviving. Collect and upgrade over 100 vehicles, source new equipment (or simply steal it) from all manner of NPC factions. Take your supercharged war chariots out on the open road and engage in the ultimate battle royale; with rogue-like modes making every road trip a new and maniacally dicey experience. You can also tailor war chariot battle formations, individual driver skills, professions, affinities, and progression.

Create the ultimate team, take on all comers and become the despotic driver of your dreams. A rich variety of single player, cooperative, PvP, and clan vs clan modes will satisfy even the most competitive amongst you. While an advanced matchmaking system provides fair, competitive PvP environments for players of all skill levels and progression.
