Live the Dream with Legacy of Discord
We all need somewhere to call home. YOOZOO Games and GTarcade have recognised this need and now players of Legacy of Discord can start picking out furniture and maybe even find a few friends to share the housework.
Players can now invite and place certain NPCs into their sanctuary. They can also select from three available home styles and choose furniture. Through daily resource runs and a bit of interaction with friends they can train their pets within their sanctuaries to receive special combat boosts. Or simply visit friends in their homes to get additional resources — they can even gift items to help in-game chums furnish their dream home.
Like most homes, there’s the occasional ‘domestic’ to sort out. In Guardian’s Sanctuary this comes, typically enough, in the form of a hobgoblin fight. At 7:45pm each night some sanctuaries will be visited by a hobgoblin. Players can gain additional resources by defeating this unwanted visitor and restoring peace and tranquility to their homes.
Legacy of Discord has also seen a wide range of improvements recently, with a numerous new items added to shops; as well as a new chapter unlocked in the main dungeon. There’s also some bug squashing and plenty more to keep players happy when they’re not sitting at home with their feet up.

RuneScape launches stunning conclusion to the Elite Dungeon Trilogy
Monday 25th February 2019, Cambridge, UK – RuneScape is calling on all seasoned adventurers to plunge into the underwater depths of The Shadow Reef, the third and concluding chapter of the game’s Elite Dungeons storyline, which launches today. Set in the ancient sunken temple of Ulthven Kreath, players face a hostile environment full of aggressive enemies before a chilling encounter with The Ambassador, a malevolent creature that dwells in the deep.
The Elite Dungeons are a series of three dungeons with an over-arching storyline, where players can buddy up or go solo in raid-like experiences, and are available to all RuneScape members.
As with the previous two Elite Dungeons, The Shadow Reef includes a story mode option, enabling players to focus on the unravelling narrative, with enemies having reduced health and combat strength, although reward drops only come from boss encounters.
Dave Osborne, RuneScape Lead Designer, said:
“Last summer, we created Elite Dungeons to combine engaging storylines with raid-like dungeon experiences. The Shadow Reef brings that questline to an epic conclusion, as players uncover the secrets beneath the inky waters of Gielinor, and experience an unforgettable encounter with The Ambassador, which will push players to the limit, whether adventuring as a team or solo.
“We know that The Shadow Realm appeals to a wide variety of RuneScape players, whether that’s the ‘skillers’ who are looking to level up their combat skills, the ‘questers’ who love delving into adventures, or the ‘challengers’ – players that are seeking to overcome the dangerously deadly dungeon, to secure the best rewards possible in the fastest time possible.”
The first parts of the trilogy, The Temple of Aminishi and Dragonkin Laboratory, were both released during summer 2018, and had to be completed chronologically by players. However, with today’s launch of The Shadow Reef, the three Elite Dungeons can be completed in any order, removing a barrier for high-level players looking to test their combat skills and meet with The Ambassador.

Valentine's Day has come and gone — your only lasting recollection may be a less than stellar bank balance. Fear not though, for in League of Angels III the love lives on … the gifts are all yours and The Lunar Festival could put a blossoming spring in your step.
The Valentine's Holiday invites players to collect teddy bears and sweet chocolates in exchange for gorgeous outfits like Amora's Gift, Lunar Blaze, Holiday Vestments and tons of special items at the shop.
Happily, this also coincides with the Lunar Festival Holiday Event, where all creatures will go through a period of re-birth (also known as The Blossoming Spring). What does this mean for players? An all-new outfit, Lunar Blaze can be obtained in various events where tons of items can be won — like exclusive tokens or strings of firecrackers and even more spring festival tickets.
A new Wheel of Fortune Event also sees a brand new mount enter the fray, a Mount Lunar Beast — Blackpyre. Spin to win and gain enhancements in battle and greatly increases the HP, ATK and DEF of your heroes (improving your BR by over 50,000).
Finally, following on from the heroic celebrations surrounding Theresa last month — it's now Victoria's turn to be immortalised as the first Mythic Angel to appear in the game. With her two Divine Armas: Dawn Sword and Dusk Shield in hand, she feels sure she can lead the Angels to victory. The most powerful defensive hero so far, she has three key skills: Dawn's Light, Dusk Slash and Victory Dance.
To find lots of love, lunar gifts and more head over to the League of Angels III site to play the game.

REVIEW: Estiman for Nintendo Switch
Review by Jon Donnis
Kool2Play are back with another unique title for Nintendo Switch.
Estiman is an endless arcade type game that has you clicking on shapes which represent the highest number of duplicated shapes on the screen. The faster you can "estimate" the more time you get.
Once you clear the screen more shapes will pop up. And as the games gets harder, the shapes will get harder to differentiate, so might look similar, have similar colours and so on, to try and confuse you.
The game is very original, and very simple, and is perfect for the kind of person who just likes to pick up a game and play without too much thought.
As we have all come to expect from Kool2Play, the soundtrack is great, this time it is a perfect ambient style soundtrack that is never distracting and actually quite relaxing.
As a simple easy to play game, you will find yourself picking up this game to play for 5 minutes here, or a few minutes there, it really is perfect for that kind of situation when you need to kill some time.
And for only £1.79 it's hardly anything to buy.
For such a simple and easy to play game, at such a low cost it is hard to really criticise the game at all.
Fun, simple game that you will keep coming back to.
8/10

Metro Exodus Review
Metro Exodus reviewed by Tristan Ogilvie on Xbox One X.
The year is 2036. A quarter-century after nuclear war devastated the earth, a few thousand survivors still cling to existence beneath the ruins of Moscow, in the tunnels of the Metro. They have struggled against the poisoned elements, fought mutated beasts and paranormal horrors, and suffered the flames of civil war. But now, as Artyom, you must flee the Metro and lead a band of Spartan Rangers on an incredible, continent-spanning journey across post-apocalyptic Russia in search of a new life in the East.
Metro Exodus is an epic, story-driven first person shooter from 4A Games that blends deadly combat and stealth with exploration and survival horror in one of the most immersive game worlds ever created. Explore the Russian wilderness across vast, non-linear levels and follow a thrilling story-line that spans an entire year through spring, summer and autumn to the depths of nuclear winter.
Inspired by the novels of Dmitry Glukhovsky, Metro Exodus continues Artyom's story in the greatest Metro adventure yet.

REVIEW: Hyperide for Nintendo Switch
Review by Jon Donnis
Hyperide for Nintendo Switch is very much your arcade side scroller but with a twist, unlike classic games like R-Type this is not just a "hold your finger on the fire button" type game, instead the main flow of this game is avoid obstacles. Those can vary from asteroids to black holes.
Along the way you have the usual collectables that improve your ship, but you also have astronauts that you have to save, who are conveniently floating in your direction.
You can travel through worm holes to reach different parts of the universe. The game has 7 different void quadrants and 3 different game modes.
As you have come to expect from - Kool2Play, a studio from Warsaw, the sound track is impressive and the heavy beat trance style tunes help pump you up as you play.
The graphics are very good, and the ships you can choose from have taken inspiration from various sci-fi franchises, the most obvious one being Star Trek.
The game plays very well on the Switch, and the controls do seem almost perfectly made for the Switch.
The game may not be an all time classic, but if you are a fan of the side scrolling obstacle avoiding arcade game, then you should very much enjoy this, as I have done.
I gave this game a strong 8/10
You can get this game now from the Nintendo Store for only $1.99

The Sect of Metal runs amok in the new Season of Heavy Metal Machines
Florianopolis, Brazil - January 6, 2019 - Crazed religious fanatics are loose in Sect of Metal, a new Season that is available right now on the free-to-play car combat PC MOBA Heavy Metal Machines. The Season expands the game’s lore, bringing new insights into the machinations of the violent Sect of Metal religious order, as well as 90 new items, such as new skins for characters that have been “converted” to the sect: Rampage, Little Monster and Killer J.
This new chapter of Heavy Metal Machines now explores one of the richest and most popular facet in the game’s lore, and gave room for the art team to bolster the quality of the new assets, based largely on feedback from the game’s passionate community.
“We are also working on loads of new features based on the community’s feedback”, says Tatiana Moreira, Hoplon’s Head of Marketing and Publishing. “The community was the first to know about the theme of the Season 3 and already know a little bit about Season 4. Their approval is very important for us.”
Heavy Metal Machines came out of beta in September of last year, with the introduction of the Metal Pass progression systems and it‘s first Season, the gelid Road to Malmheim, which was followed by the lovecraftian horrors of Into the Abyss, before the arrival of Sect of Metal.
Why Heavy Metal Machines rocks

A Legend Reborn: Narrated by Larry Huffman, of Rock ’n Roll Racing.

League of Angels III celebrates Theresa and her dancing
While large chunks of the UK may not agree, League of Angels III aficionados will know that Theresa is indeed a hero. Which is why the game is putting on a special event in her honour. Of course, we’re not talking about the embattled UK Prime Minister, but the flame-haired hybrid child of Prime Angel and Dragon King Ulysses.
In League of Angels II, Theresa’s life was full of conflict and uncertainty (ok, still the odd similarity) due to her special heritage. Essentially, she’s not had it easy — but League of Angels III is celebrating her kind, albeit rebellious, disposition with a special in-game event that players can find right now when they log into the game. So, let’s all celebrate Theresa for a change!
League of Angels III has also seen some big improvements recently: in version 4.0.0. the Guild War game mode has been rebuilt, with some new rules and upgraded rewards. A first Mythic Hero has been added, Victoria in the new Temple — Nebula.
January also saw a new Mount arrive — Night Falcon. One of the few flying mounts, Night Falcon grants a sharp rise in the battle rating of your heroes while also adding a huge amount of bonus HP, ATK and DEF. He also has fearfully sharp feathers and an imposing appearance; which doesn’t do any harm, right? This legendary mount can be obtained via the Wheel of Fortune.
January’s earlier New Year celebrations saw League of Angels III invite players to enjoy Angel’s Carnival — a holiday event whose origins go all the way back to Mikaela and Glacia’s reunion. Included among some tokens for turkey dinner and pumpkin pie is a new outfit, Silverfrost.
If you want to engage in some Theresa-related hero-worship, or simply play League of Angels III head over to the game's official page: https://loa3.gtarcade.com
