Behind bars - Prison Heist mode leads new content drops for Dying Light
Attention, zombie fans! Techland has announced the pace of free content deliveries for Dying Light has been increased - starting today with a double content drop featuring a brand new location, a fresh game mode, a fearsome new enemy, a community bounty and best Easter wishes from the Techland team.
Content Drop #4 takes players to Prison Island - a brand new location to discover. This isolated fortress is home to Prison Heist, a fresh game mode where you must break into the armory as fast as you can - either solo or with friends in co-op. The group needs to optimize their strategy, co-operate tightly and loot the place clean before the alarm goes off. Better performance means more valuable rewards, but remember - be prepared for everything. The Prison Island will held a community contest later in April so stay alert for the full info.
Content Drop #5, also available now, brings Sgt. Deathrow - a previously unknown Demolisher mutation - to Old Town. He's bigger, stronger, and more unpredictable, but killing him gives you a massive amount of experience points. The next drop - numbered #6 - will be published in mid April.
Today is also the start of a brand new community bounty. In the Harran Egg Hunt players chase the zombified Easter Bunny and collect the eggs to unlock the magnificent Easter Outfit. Check out the in-game What’s New menu or go to dyinglightgame.com/bounties for details. The bounty ends on April 3rd.
Moreover, Techland has confirmed that Dying Light now supports the Chinese language.

Pirate Sail into the Sunset as 13-Year RuneScape Questline Concludes
Tuesday 20th March 2018, Cambridge, UK – RuneScape returns to the high seas today, launching Pieces of Hate, the epic finale to one of the MMORPG’s longest running stories. The concluding voyage of the 13-year old pirate quest series challenges players as they dive into the depths of underwater expeditions, conquer sea monsters, and battle zombie pirates, and is released just two weeks after RuneScape introduced deep-sea fishing into the game for the first time.
In addition to tying up the loose ends of the pirates’ tale, Pieces of Hate contributes to the foundations of RuneScape’s next five years of rich narratives and immersive adventures. The new quest invites skilled players to plunder its riches, including an upgrade to the Book o’Piracy, which allows players to teleport across various locations throughout Gielinor and can be recharged using rum (of course!).
RuneScape has also made sure players have a whale of a time with the launch of deep-sea fishing, an all-new offshore hub to the game. Available to adventurers with at least level 68 Fishing, players can cast their nets and catch a whole variety of surprises, from jellyfish to great whites, and reel in that fishing XP to gain extra rewards. Only the bravest of buccaneers who dare travel farther out to sea will bag the most valuable loot, but they will also face the greatest dangers.
Dave Osborne, Lead Designer, RuneScape, said:
“It’s really astonishing to have reached the end of the pirates’ tale after 13 years, so we’re thrilled that our players can experience the concluding events in Pieces of Hate. The team has worked hard to deliver an exciting end to the story, especially to those waiting since 2005, and we can’t wait to build on it as part of our narrative arcs for the next five years. The recent launch of deep-sea fishing has already enticed the greatest fishers from across Gielinor to experience the new activity hub; it’s a great way to level up the skill and it’s so rewarding to see our players agree!”
Quest Requirements
Clockwork Syringe (quest completion)
Gertrude's Cat (quest completion)
Level 83 Agility - (Need the run energy for the invasion minigame and it's the best reference for swimming)
Level 85 Thieving - (pirates, yarr. Also explains lockpicking and so forth for puzzles)
Level 82 Firemaking - (Setting fire to Crassian eggs)
Level 81 Construction - (Repairing things for the invasion)

Check out the breathtaking, high speed, adrenaline fuelled announcement trailer:
Fully enhanced for PlayStation 4 Pro and Xbox One X, GRIP was inspired by the Rollcage games of the late 90’s and backed by a highly-skilled and accomplished team. Harnessing the power of Unreal® Engine 4 to deliver gravity defying physics alongside a bristling arsenal of outlandish weapons. GRIP delivers the fastest, most competitive racing experience ever. Featuring a killer soundtrack, furious speeds and intense action, GRIP is guaranteed to generate unforgettable gaming moments - online or offline - with nail-biting split screen racing and tournaments.
Evolved from the age of street racing, the world of GRIP is brutal and cut-throat to the core. To win the race is never enough, greatness comes from the journey and the trail of merciless destruction you unleash upon your rivals along the way.
Scale walls, ceilings and anything else you can get your tyres on to... as you master tantalising tracks, tricks and perform mind-blowing stunts to race your way across the cosmos. Customise your vehicle, utilise devastating weapons and exploit a destructible environment to ensure not only victory, but the complete annihilation of your opponents.
“We’re very excited to finally announce our partnership with Wired Productions today,” said Chris Mallinson, Game Director at Caged Element. “GRIP began as a passion project paying tribute to the great Rollcage games and racers of a past era, but it’s now truly transformed into a fully-fledged, futuristic combat racer fit for this generation. We’re extremely proud of the game and can’t wait to unleash it later this year on all platforms. Combat racing is back, baby.”
“As long-standing fans of Rollcage and the combat racing genre, we’re delighted to sign GRIP and to build our partnership with the incredible team at Caged Element,” said Leo Zullo, Managing Director at Wired Productions. “Born from passion and nostalgia, driven by great minds and taking full advantage of the latest capabilities in both engine and hardware, GRIP is a racer with limitless horsepower and the title to keep your eye on this year.”
GRIP will make its US debut this week at the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco, in South Hall, Booth #1023 (in the UKIE area of the show) and will be available for consumers to get hands on for the first time at PAX East, Booth #20031 (Boston, USA) and EGX Rezzed (London, UK).
