FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered launches 3rd September
LONDON (20th August 2019) – Square Enix Ltd.,today announced that fan favourite role-playing game, FINAL FANTASY® VIII Remastered, will make its debut on 3rd September 2019 digitally for the Nintendo Switch™ system, the PlayStation®4 computer entertainment system, the Xbox One family of devices and STEAM®.
FINAL FANTASY VIII Remastered celebrates its 20th anniversary by bringing the cherished RPG to modern platforms, featuring newly rendered visuals that breathe life into the game’s characters like never before. Players step into the shoes of SeeD recruit Squall Leonhart and resistance fighter Rinoa Heartilly as they work together to save the world from the military nation of Galbadia.
The remastered version includes the following boosts to enhance the experience:
Battle Assist: The ability to always have maxed out HP and ATB, and trigger Limit Breaks at any time.
No Encounters: An enemy encounter option that allows players to enjoy the storyline uninterrupted. While enemy encounters are turned off, players can still enjoy the story’s event battles.
3x Speed Boost: Play through the game with three times the speed.
The STEAM® version will also receive additional functions, including All Items (possess all items except for a few certain items), All Abilities, GF Max Level, Max Gil, Max Magic, All Limit Breaks, and All Cards (possess max number of Triple Triad Cards except for Rare Cards).

Frontier Announces Planet Zoo Beta Date in New Gameplay Trailer
Cambridge, UK – 20 August 2019. Frontier Developments plc (AIM: FDEV) today announced the Planet Zoo early-access Beta, coming 24 September and available to players who pre-order Planet Zoo Deluxe Edition.
The Planet Zoo Beta runs from 24 September until 8 October, featuring the first scenario from Planet Zoo’s Career mode, and a biome from Franchise mode.
A new story awaits in Planet Zoo’s narrative-driven Career mode. Players will be introduced to a cast of colourful characters in a globe-trotting campaign, placing them in charge of zoos around the world. The Planet Zoo Beta includes the first scenario, introducing players to zoo management and a selection of animals from the full game, including a number of as-yet unrevealed animals.
And sandbox meets simulation in Franchise mode where players can build, manage, research and develop their own zoo franchise alongside a global community of Planet Zoo players. The Franchise mode Beta features Planet Zoo’s online Animal Exchange where players can trade animals to increase the genetic diversity and wellbeing in their zoo. At launch, Franchise mode will further introduce Daily Challenges and weekly Community Goals that will unite Planet Zoo community behind a shared objective.
Planet Zoo is playable all week at Gamescom in Cologne, Germany. Visitors are invited to go hands-on with Career mode and Sandbox in Hall 7 at the Koelnmesse.
Planet Zoo launches 5 November 2019 and is available to pre-order now for £34.99 (€44.99, $44.99). Planet Zoo Deluxe Edition is available to pre-order now for £42.99 (€54.99, $54.99). Both are available on the Steam online store. Planet Zoo Deluxe Edition includes the Planet Zoo game plus bonus content, including:
