The Surge 2 brings hardcore action-RPG combat to Xbox One on September 24 – less than a month to go! Depth, challenge, and choice of playstyle define the combat in The Surge 2, highlighted by Deck13 and Focus Home Interactive in today’s Combat Trailer. 

In The Surge 2 you are thrust into Jericho City, a dystopian sci-fi megacity under quarantine, where several factions vie for dominance over the various districts. In this urban jungle, you will be hunted by everything from religious cultists to nanomonstrosities, so you must embrace the oldest law known to humankind – evolve to survive. When faced with an enemy, target specific parts of their body and slice off tech you need to upgrade your exo-rig.

The combat is intense. With 80 weapons to choose from, a directional parry system, dodge mechanics, drones, and a huge range of brutal execution moves, you can approach combat in the way that suits your playstyle. Charge in and pound your enemies into submission with punching gloves or sting like a bee using the spear.

Rotterdam (NL), September 24, 2019 – Vertigo Games, the VR game studio behind the platinum-selling VR zombie shooter Arizona Sunshine, revealed the first-ever gameplay footage for the shared-world VR action FPS After the Fall™ at Sony Interactive Entertainment’s State of Play. Scheduled to launch in 2020 on PCVR, and now also announced for PSVR, After the Fall combines an unprecedented shared-world for VR players around the globe, a cinematic and atmospheric campaign, action-packed gameplay for both solo and multiplayer gamers, and epic endgame built from the ground up for VR.

The new trailer reveals the post-apocalyptic remains of an alternate 1980’s Los Angeles where hell has frozen over. This is a result of experimental designer drugs gone wrong, giving birth to a new ice age and the creation of menacing, once-human creatures called Snowbreed. Twenty years later the world has turned into an arctic, hostile wasteland.

After the Fall offers a cinematic campaign and seamless multiplayer experience, built from the ground up for VR. The shared-world action FPS with RPG elements lets players scavenge the ruins of the 80’s civilization, utilizing what they find to craft an arsenal of guns and close-combat weapons, allowing them to experiment and play around with different combat styles. Players wield devastating powers with real-life movements in a raging fight for survival against the forces of nature and the wretched Snowbreed.

Classic DRAGON QUEST games arrive on Nintendo Switch on 27th September

 Square Enix Ltd., announced that the first three classic games in the DRAGON QUEST® series will be released for the Nintendo Switch™ system on 27th September. 

Fans can rediscover the origins of the legendary RPG series and the entire Erdrick trilogy in DRAGON QUEST, DRAGON QUEST II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line™ and DRAGON QUEST III: The Seeds of Salvation®, available individually via digital download from the Nintendo eShop.

Upon release in 1986, the pivotal DRAGON QUEST series became a cultural phenomenon, accumulating a large, passionate fan base of millions worldwide, and set the standard for the JRPG genre. These three classic titles feature simple and intuitive controls that mimic retro gameplay, paying homage to where the legacy began.

The iconic Erdrick trilogy begins in the acclaimed DRAGON QUEST where players begin their voyage as the “Hero,” a descendent of the valiant hero Erdrick in an epic journey through the historic realm of Alefgard. DRAGON QUEST II: Luminaries of the Legendary Line takes place a century later, where the young prince of Midenhall embarks on a journey to find the other two descendants of Erdrick in order to defeat the nefarious Hargon.
