These GUNNAR office/gaming glasses are a real find for anyone who spends long hours in front of a screen. As someone who regularly faces eye strain after back-to-back hours on the computer, I was looking for something that would reduce my discomfort, and these glasses absolutely delivered. Right from the first wear, I noticed a difference in how comfortable my eyes felt, even after a full workday. There's a slight magnification of 0.2 diopters, and although I don't usually wear glasses, I adjusted to it pretty quickly. After that, it was like they were custom-made for my needs.

One of the best features is how clear and sharp everything looks, especially with GUNNAR's clear PRO lenses that increase contrast and make colours vibrant without distorting them. They're especially handy for work that needs accurate colour perception, like graphic design or detailed office tasks, where seeing everything clearly really matters. I've even found they help outside the office. Although they aren't designed as sunglasses, they do block UV light, and I felt a surprising level of comfort wearing them on a bright day for reading or even just walking around.

The design is sleek and has this natural elegance thanks to the sustainably harvested wood used in the frames. It's hard to find glasses that look as stylish as they do functional, but GUNNAR managed to balance both perfectly. The anti-reflective coating works wonders too, minimising those irritating reflections and making everything in front of the screen feel a lot clearer and more immersive. Since I started wearing them, I've had colleagues and friends ask about them, and I've even had a few people try them on and immediately notice the difference in comfort and sharpness.

Aaero2 is an exhilarating sequel that takes everything fans loved about the original Aaero and cranks it up to the next level. It's a rhythm-based rail-shooter that combines high-speed action with an intense musical experience, where every movement and shot feels tightly synced to the beat of its incredible electronic soundtrack. Building on the foundations of the 2017 cult hit, Aaero2 not only refines its formula but expands it in exciting new ways, making it a worthy follow-up that both returning players and newcomers can enjoy.

Right from the opening moments, Aaero2 wastes no time in throwing players into its high-energy, neon-lit world. The gameplay revolves around flying along ribbons of light, tracing their paths in time with the music while battling enemies that appear in rhythm with the beats. The controls are smooth and responsive, which is crucial for a game where timing and precision are everything. The way the visuals, gameplay, and music come together is nothing short of hypnotic, creating a sense of flow that makes each level feel like an interactive music video. REVIEW: Ys X: Nordics (2024 RPG Video Game) - on Playstation 4

Ys X: Nordics, the latest entry in Nihon Falcom's long-running action RPG series, boldly reimagines core elements of the franchise while staying true to its adventurous spirit. Set chronologically between Ys II and Ys: Memories of Celceta, the game explores an intriguing chapter of Adol Christin's life, focusing on his youthful exploits as he becomes embroiled in the conflict between the seafaring Normans and the monstrous Griegr. This maritime theme introduces new gameplay mechanics and a narrative scope that offers both familiarity and innovation.

The game takes a notable step away from the party-based combat systems that defined recent titles like Ys VIII and Ys IX, opting instead for a streamlined approach with two playable characters: Adol and Karja Balta. This design choice results in the dynamic Duo Mode, which allows players to control both characters simultaneously or alternate between them seamlessly. The combat is fluid, fast-paced, and enhanced by the incorporation of Mana abilities. These powers add strategic depth by enabling actions like grappling, sliding, and creating platforms, which serve both in battle and exploration. It's a system that rewards experimentation and adaptability, offering a fresh take on the Ys formula. And if you struggle against an enemy, the game allows you the option of fighting again but with the enemy weakened. A nice touch for players new to this type of game.

One of the standout features of Ys X: Nordics is the introduction of naval exploration. Sailing the Obelia Gulf aboard the Sandras brings a sense of scale and discovery, as players chart unmarked islands and engage in naval combat. While the concept is ambitious, the execution is uneven. The ship combat can feel repetitive, lacking the exhilaration one might expect from maritime skirmishes. Similarly, the sailing itself, though atmospheric, occasionally disrupts the pacing of the game. Nevertheless, these segments add variety to the gameplay loop and provide a welcome break from the on-foot action.

The narrative is another highlight, balancing the adventurous tone typical of the series with moments of introspection and character development. Adol's interactions with Karja, as well as his growing understanding of the Norman culture, form the emotional backbone of the story. While some plot twists are predictable, the tale remains engaging, particularly as it delves into themes of belonging, courage, and the clash between tradition and progress.

Visually, the game is a mixed bag. The environments are expansive and invite exploration, but many islands share a similar aesthetic, which can lead to a sense of monotony during extended play sessions. The character designs, however, are vibrant and detailed, capturing the spirit of the series. Funko Fusion is a charming and ambitious action-adventure game that dives headfirst into the world of fandom. Developed by 10:10 Games and based on the immensely popular Funko Pop! collectibles, it offers a playful crossover experience that brings together over 20 beloved franchises from Universal Pictures, comics, games, and more. Whether you're a fan of Jurassic World, Back to the Future, or Mega Man, the game is packed with nostalgic appeal.

The gays a significant role in Funko Fusion, drawing comparisons to the whimsical charm of the LEGO video games. It doesn't take itself too seriously, which is part of its appeal. However, while the game is generally family-friendly, it does include nods to darker franchises like The Thing and Five Nights at Freddy's, so parents should be mindful of its themes.

Unfortunately, Funko Fusion isn't without its flaws. The combat, while serviceable, often feels shallow and lacks the satisfying impact that would make battles truly engaging. Puzzles and enemy encounters can become repetitive over time, which might deter players looking for more variety. Some objectives are poorly signposted, leading to moments of frustration as players struggle to figure out how to progress. The bugs are perhaps the most significant downside.
